  It could have been a one off but I get the feeling that outsiders are not wanted here.
  Having lived nearby for a year and never tried them out, my group of 5 friends went in on a friday night. 2 lone smokers outside. Someone shouting a bit drunk by a fence across the street. worth a chuckle as we head in. Not many people inside, maybe 15 total, but seating for 5 was not immediately apparent.
  No staff visible and no one looked our way as we stood searching the room for a minute at the entryway for a server, and reading the specials board. Hmm, $2 taco tuesday it said, interesting. We walked towards the stairs to go upstairs when a server appeared and said "you can't go up there". When we asked why, said there was a private reservation and turned to leave again without offering any more... so, maybe we should just hang out standing around? There's lots of open floor space I'm thinking. My buddy asks as she walks away "can we push some 2-tops together up there" pointing to the pub floor.
  "Sure" she said and left behind the bar. So we walked up where there were 3 narrow tables, one was attached to a wall so we started moving the other 2 together when another server rushed over and said "no, that is reserved, you can't sit here." She starts moving them back and while we watch her do so looking at each other with a growing sense of WTF, we're left standing wondering if this place has another room or maybe we're not wearing the right sort of clothes or something. No word from the server... I ask is there anywhere you'd suggest? she looks up, seems slightly troubled by the question, shakes her head after a moment and continues to move the tables back...
  Right then, clearly not interested in the walk-in patrons so we announced to her back, "OK, I suppose we'll go someplace else guys" and start to walk out. Still not another word from the server rushing to return the special reserved table back in place.
  4 minutes total experience: unknown = unwelcome. The place is hidden away off the beaten path and it seems that's for a good reason. Deep Cove Brewery is 2 blocks further up the street and although far more crowded that night, felt like we weren't intruding.
  Its a shame because the area doesn't have much else and it would have been a nice find since I'm sure that the place has its merits but the first impression that night me definitely feeling like it'll be another year before I try again.

  Good memories from a lot of different parties. great place for large bday gathering, upstairs Foosball table, darts, pool table and a decent patio
