  Food is okay, but far from great. Our order came fast (maybe too fast) but took them over 10 min to bring us the check. But the main issue, and reason for the two stars (I would have given 3) was the lack of flexibility with the kids menu. My daughter is quite picky and has many food allergies, but she LOVES salmon with veggies (which is not in the kids menu). Considering they have several dishes with salmon in the regular menu, we asked if she could have a small piece of salmon, like a smaller version of the main dish. They said no. I was disappointed, explained the situation and they kept saying there was nothing they could do about it. So, I ended up ordering the salmon for myself with a side plate to share it with her, which they said, would be big enough for the two of us (the salmon, not the plate :)). Well, it wasn't. The salmon was quite small (and VERY bland). I left the restaurant hungry and disappointed. Unfortunately, many restaurants are like this. They offer some healthy options for the adults and often, a very crappy kids menu, with no flexibility to order something else. We are not coming back to this restaurant.

  This is a terrific restaurant. My Wife and I had several wonderful lunches here. My favorite as the Fish and Chips with the extra piece of fish added. My Wife really enjoyed the Hot French Dip Sandwich. The service is outstanding. The older gentleman waiter has been there for thirty years. He actually seems to anticipate his clients needs and wants. The Cheshire Cheese Restaurant was a fun, festive, and delightful place to have lunch.

  Food and service was excellent! Really great place for first time Vancouver visitors. The ginger cake and portobello mushroom sirloin were delicious!
